Understanding Every BW500 Prediction

The final-score fields are your prediction for the score when the match finishes. If you choose a score with at least one goal, BW500 also asks which team scores first and which listed player scores at any time during the match. The player does not have to score the opening goal: the selection is an anytime goalscorer call. The first-goal-minute field is a separate estimate of when the opening goal will arrive.

These details describe different parts of the same match, so review them together. A predicted 2-1 home win, for example, can be paired with the away team scoring first and the selected player scoring later. That combination is logically possible. What matters is that your submitted entry reflects one match story you are comfortable keeping after submission.

What Happens with a 0-0 Prediction?

A 0-0 prediction means you expect no goals. The goal-related choices are therefore skipped: there is no first team to score, no goalscorer, and no first-goal minute to provide. This is not a shortcut around the normal fields; it is the correct entry flow for a goalless prediction. For any other final score, complete all the goal-related selections shown by the form before submitting.

Prize eligibility follows the current result calculation. For a match with goals, the final score must be exact, the selected first team must actually open the scoring, and the selected player must score at some point. The minute estimate is saved and may be displayed with your result, but the current BW500 winner calculation does not use it as an additional tiebreaker. It should still be entered carefully because it remains part of the submitted prediction.

A Practical BW500 Example

Imagine the featured match is shown as Team A against Team B. You might predict 2-1, choose Team B to score first, select a Team A player to score at any time, and enter minute 18 for the first goal. This is only an illustration, not a suggestion about any live fixture. If the real match finishes 2-1, Team B opens the scoring, and your selected Team A player later scores, the three fields used for current prize eligibility are correct. A different opening-goal minute would not currently remove that eligibility.

Before confirming, compare the team order on the page with the score boxes, make sure your scorer belongs to the available player list, and check that the first-team choice fits the match story you intend. Small input mistakes cannot be corrected once the entry has been submitted.

Do not assume that every match follows a fixed cut-off relative to kick-off.
